Sophie brings 25+ years of experience building therapeutics, diagnostics and medical device businesses through product development, partnering and fundraising.

Sophie has deep commercialization expertise including sales & marketing, deal making, alliance management, product design, operational delivery, strategic planning and financial management. She is currently on the board of Coprata Inc, is a senior advisor to Harvard Medical school, and leads business development at Rise Therapeutics, a clinical-stage, immunology therapeutics company.

Previously she led business execution in high growth companies such as Sherlock Biosciences (CRISPR-based diagnostics), Scipher Medicine, where she led the development of the first blood-based precision medicine diagnostic test in autoimmune diseases. Before that, Sophie was President, Clinical Trials at CogState, a software-based biomarker/diagnostic platform where she built the division to high sales volume, profitability and best clinical trials vendor status with leading Pharma companies.

At Pfizer, Sophie was responsible for in-sourcing technology platforms across the drug portfolio from drug discovery into proof-of concept clinical development. Sophie started her career in sales with UCB, where she headed Global Marketing & Sales for its biologics contract manufacturing division.

Sophie earned her engineering degree from University of Brussels (ULB, Belgium), her masters in medicinal chemistry from University of Lille (France), as well as executive management certificates from MIT/Sloan, Columbia University and Wharton business schools.
