Justin Brown

Justin Brown is an entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience in life sciences company building, strategy, and operations. He has a proven track record of working collaboratively with academics, clinicians, entrepreneurs, and investors to drive the creation, planning, and growth of life sciences ventures.

Most recently, Justin was a Senior Vice President at Strata Oncology, a cancer diagnostics company backed by Wellington Management, Merck Global Health Innovation Fund, Pfizer Ventures, and Deerfield among others. As one of Strata Oncology's earliest employees, he was instrumental in scaling the company from less than 10 to over 150 employees, raising $100M+ in capital, and enabling genomic testing for more than 80,000 patients with cancer.

Before joining Strata, Justin was co-founder and CEO of Spirovation, a specialist discovery and development CRO spun out of the UNC Marsico Lung Institute. Prior to that, he held a business development role at a venture backed biotech and served in company creation roles at leading public and private research universities.

Justin holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed an NSF postdoctoral fellowship in bioentrepreneurship at Washington University in St. Louis.
